Prayers of the Faithful

Dear Lord, we pray for all those who don't have a home. We pray that they find a home soon.
Lord hear us.

Dear Lord, we pray for the Pope that he continues spreading the good news.
Lord hear us.

Dear Lord, we pray for all of the people in our country who don't have any food and water. We pray that they get given food and water.
Lord hear us.

Dear Lord, we pray for all of the grandparents in Ngaruawahia that they had a great grandparents day.
Lord hear us.

Dear Lord, we pray for all the people in our school that they have a lovely Christmas.
Lord hear us.

Mystery Creek

Crackle, crackle as our feet crunched on the silver shining stones. We had filled up our jar of marbles and we decided to go to Mystery Creek.
After Mr Riley had explained how Mystery Creek came about, he gave us a piece of paper which had all of the olden days things on it, then he also gave us an ipad and a pen.We ran over to the school. That's where our first olden day thing was.We searched like we were looking for gold.
When we had found the s logo, we went to the  next place which was the church.
After we had found the round s shape, we went to the next place.

Patterson Park

Yesterday, some of our school went to Paterson Park . We arrived there and all of the other schools  from Nguawahia went as well. We started with a karakia.
We started the games. I was centre. The referee blew the whistle. My heart raced as the game started. I threw the ball powerfully to Kruz. As she ran out, the ball raced into her hand. She caught it. She passed it to our team mates. The other team defended us and they got the ball. Our team raced down the dirty court. I couldn't go in the circle. The ball leaped slowly into the shiny goal. We went back to the bright yellow starting line. The other team threw the ball to their team mates. We were powerfully jumping, trying to get the ball to Makayla.
Clap! Clap! Everyone clapped. Go Saint Paul's. We got a goal. Everyone yelled, "Yay! Yay!
It was half time. We went back on to the court. Holly and I were off. We lost against Waipa but we still played good then Holly and I went and bought a sausage. It was delicious, then I bought Holly and me an ice block. It was a yum. It was called a Moosie. I got a cookie and cream and Holly got a chocolate one. They both were yum.

Alision Shanks

Alison Shanks visited our school today.  She told us, "You have to train your brain to go to the Olympics."
She showed us her bike that she raced in the Olympics. Her bike isn't like any other bike. Our bikes have holes in the tyre wheels but their's don't. They don't have holes in their bike wheels because it slows them down.
She showed us her gold medal that she won. She won her gold medal in 2010. Mr Emms picked 5 people to help her hold things up. Mr Emms picked Jac, Theo, Taj, Georgia and Jaxon. Jaxon, Theo, Taj and Georgia got to hold the NZ flag and the Olympic NZ flag.
Jac got to get into her NZ biking suit and hold her gold mantle. She passed the medal around the whole school. She told us the first time she went to the Olympics, she got scared when the countdown started.
When she was getting ready to go, lots of people got her signature and then we all watched the women rugby sevens lose against Australia but they got a silver medal.
