Walking Up The Hakarimatas

We have been learning to use personification in our writing.
It was a cold winter morning when I went up the Hakarimatas. I was now at the steps. The frost was biting my fingers.The steps crunched because of the frost. The trees stood  as still as a post. There was silence because all the birds, insects and other animals were snuggled up.

Winter morning

It was a frosty morning. I saw the grass coated with snow. It was waiting for the  sun to  melt the snow. I was having a snow fight.

The frog

Splish! Splash! The water leaked onto the frog's boat.The pale yellow petals drifted down the flowing river.The bamboo boat drifted down the stream. The boat was made out of a green twig and bamboo. A slippery and slimy frog was holding onto the twig.

 On Monday we went swimming at the town pools. We are learning back stroke and over arm. We had to swim across to the other side of the pool so we could get better at swimming.
It was fun swimming with half of my class. Our teachers name is Ashley and she taught us how to do rocket arms.. I love swimming.

Fist Day Jitters

Today is the fist day of school in 2015. I am in Room 4. I am Year 4. I was scared because I  didn't know what our teacher was going to be like and I was nervous because I didn't know what Room 4 was going to be like.
Today is the second day of school. I am happy school is back.
